 Log frames can be quite rustic, utilizing various woods and native rock, or ultra contemporary with glazing and drywall. Either way, a log frame is a natural and unique alternative in western log architecture.

 

 

 

Features of a Log Frame Home:

 The use of vertical log columns to support the floor and roof structure provides greater flexibility in designing buildings which integrate log construction with masonry and wood frame systems. 

 Typically, a log frame structure requires fewer logs than a similar-sized "stacked log" building, thus saving money in log cost and freight to your building site. 

 A log frame home can be designed to fit special architectural needs and budgets more easily than most log systems.
